Science Camp

The American Association of University Women is hosting its annual Science Camp. Attached you’ll find the flyer and application in English, Spanish, and Hmong. We encourage you to share the information in this email to teachers and your community outreach outlets.

Description

The Mother and Daughter Camp is a program that brings 4th and 5th grade girls and their mother, or another significant adult, together to do interesting and stimulating hands-on science experiments, creative math, engineering and computer activities. The participants get to see the connections between experiments and application to our world.

Each Session is 2 hours and there will be 2 sessions per day. Participants are to attend all 4 days (8 sessions, one introduction and 7 technical sessions). These sessions are taught by women educators and professionals from UC Merced and our local area.

The cost for the program is $40 per mother/daughter pair. Partial scholarships are available. (see attached registration form). Due to limited spacing, please register early to reserve your spot. We truly appreciate the many families who have joined us in past years! We kindly ask participants who’ve attended before to allow this opportunity for new participants to also enjoy what our camp has to offer. A final schedule will be sent to each selected participant.
